Financial Fraud Awareness Workshop

FISH OF SANCAP invites the community to a Financial Fraud Awareness workshop, presented by Joseph Perrino, Relationship Banker for Wells Fargo.  The workshop is offered at the Sanibel Community House, 2173 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel on Tues., Jan. 4, 2022 beginning at 10:00a. A virtual option via Zoom is also offered.  Those interested in participating virtually may contact FISH for log in details.

“Despite the benefits and security that technology can provide, scammers are still taking advantage of people every day,” says Perrino. Perrino, who joined the Sanibel branch from Fort Myers, is approaching 7 years in the Financial Services industry and has a passion for learning and promoting financial health and wellness.

At the workshop, specific types of scams will be discussed using the Wells Fargo Security Center– an expansive resource offering several tools, including common scams, how to recognize a scam before becoming a victim, and resources to assist victims of fraud. “Please join us for this informative presentation that will provide essential knowledge and tools to participants to prevent fraud victimization,” says Jennifer Pagano, Education and Outreach Director, FISH.
