Soup & Salad Featured at Cooking With Leslie

The monthly Cooking with Leslie virtual cooking class sponsored by FISH OF SANCAP will take place on Thurs., Feb. 17 beginning at 2:00pm via Zoom.  February’s recipes feature a Winter Salad with Homemade Vinaigrette and French Onion Soup followed by Paleo/Keto Brownies for dessert.  “This simple version of the classic French Onion soup is warm, cozy and flavorful,” says Jennifer Pagano, FISH Education and Outreach Director.  “The accompanying salad and brownies present a well-balanced meal for all to enjoy.”

Leslie Adams, chef and owner of Sanibel Captiva Catering/Catering by Leslie Adams, will lead the lesson in cooking class format. Says one of last month’s participants, “My husband and I look forward every month to the FISH cooking classes. My spouse never likes to leave the house and for him especially they are a real treat. Thank you, FISH, for enriching our lives.”

Adams, former owner of the award-winning Rosie’s Deli, Sanibel, currently devotes her energy and talents as a catering service and private chef. She was trained at The California Culinary Academy in San Francisco and expanded her expertise, techniques, and repertoire by attending classes at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris.  Adams has been a caterer and private chef on Sanibel and Captiva Islands for 14 years.

FISH will provide a list of ingredients necessary for the lesson to registered participants. If there is a need, FISH can assist in purchasing ingredients and deliver on the day of the event. Please indicate if ingredients and delivery are needed with RSVP.

Please register no later than Feb. 14, 2022, by contacting the FISH Walk-In-Center, 239-472-4775.  Once registered, FISH will provide a link and meeting ID number for access to the Zoom webinar.
