F.I.S.H. Featured at Young Professionals Association of Sanibel & Captiva Event
September 21, 2015 – On Thursday, September 17, over 40 young professionals from the islands and nearby Fort Myers were hosted by the Sanibel Fish House for a monthly Young Professionals Association of Sanibel & Captiva (YPASC) After 5:30 p.m. Networking Event.
The Sanibel Fish House graciously provided delicious appetizers and goodie bags for the group, while guests were able to take advantage of their regular happy hour and drink specials. In attendance were young professionals from local non-profits such as the Bailey-Matthews National Shell Museum and the Sanibel Sea School, local island businesses such as R.S. Walsh landscaping, resorts and inns such as Sundial Beach Resort & Spa and Beachview Cottages, realtors from John Naumann & Associates, ReMax, SanCap Gateway, and many more island organizations and local businesses.
Those in attendance spent the evening in conversation and networking, pausing for remarks made by Laura Richardson, Development Coordinator at BIG ARTS as well as founder of the group, and Nicole Decker-McHale, member of F.I.S.H. Board of Directors, who was asked to present about the organization, their purpose, and ways to become involved.
“How refreshing to have an organization consisting of young professionals that are interested in expanding their knowledge and support of important non-profit organizations like F.I.S.H.” said Decker-McHale. The YPASC is taking part in the upcoming Run 4 F.I.S.H. 10K to support the organization and has numerous members registered to run.
The YPASC’s next networking event will be Wednesday, October 14 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at Il Cielo. Admission is FREE. There will be a cash bar and appetizers will be provided. Remember to bring your co-workers and your business cards!
