Captiva's Legendary 'Tween Waters Inn is Gold Sponsor of 10K Race 4 F.I.S.H.
Captiva Island's legendary Tween Waters Inn Island Resort & Spa, part of Sanibel-Captiva Beach Resorts LLC, is a gold sponsor of the 8th annual 10K Race 4 F.I.S.H. Set for 7:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 15 at Sanibel Community Park, the race draws hundreds of runners from near and far for a worthy cause – F.I.S.H. of SANCAP.
“We are always delighted to support F.I.S.H. and the 10K Race,” said Sanibel-Captiva Beach Resorts Chief Operating Officer Doug Babcock. “F.I.S.H. is a wonderful organization that helps those who live, work or visit our beautiful islands. The 10K is a well-organized foot race for runners who also enjoy beautiful scenery.”
What began as a collection of fishing cottages dating back to 1931, 'Tween Waters Inn now features 137 units that vary from comfortable guest rooms and Gulf-front or Bay-side studios to three-bedroom suites. Many of its 19 historic cottages, decorated in rustic luxury style with contemporary amenities, are named after the resort's famous past visitors, including Anne Marrow Lindbergh, J.N. “Ding” Darling and Theodore Roosevelt.
'Tween Waters Inn is famous for the pristine, sugary white-sand beaches on its Gulf of Mexico side and views of the San Carlos Bay to the east due to its be'tween waters location. It's also a perfect wedding destination and The Spa at 'Tween Waters Inn is the destination on Captiva Island to get re-energized.
When it comes to thoughts of food, guests can enjoy a garden breakfast, poolside lunch, casual dinner or gourmet delights. The Crow's Nest Beach Bar & Grill serves up great food and fun with its nightly crab races and live music. The historic Captiva House Gulf-front Seafood Restaurant features an all-new, casual décor and fresh seafood menu. In be'tween it all, have lunch at the Oasis Pool Bar.
“Tween Waters Inn in a true Captiva treasure and we couldn't be more delighted to have them as a gold sponsor of the race,” said 10K Committee Co-Chair Nancy Bender.
