Helping Neighbors: Don’t Become a Victim! F.I.S.H. OF SANCAP Offers Crime Prevention Lunch & Le

F.I.S.H. of Sanibel-Captiva, Inc., in partnership with The Sanibel Police Department, is offering a Crime Prevention Lunch & Learn Workshop on Wed., Feb. 8 from 11:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Parish Hall, Saint Michael & All Angels Episcopal Church, 2304 Periwinkle Way. The presentation will focus on personal safety, home safety, mail, phone and computer fraud and scams and important techniques for protecting yourself.

Sergeant Grace Towler will discuss different issues that are threats to the community, increase awareness of certain crimes, and teach participants what to do to intervene and prevent victimization. “You can never be too safe,” states Towler. “By taking a few simple precautions, you can reduce risk and also discourage those who commit crimes.”

This Lunch & Learn workshop is complimentary and open to the community. RSVPs are required no later than Mon. Feb. 6 to Nitza Lopez, F.I.S.H. Case Manager, (239-472-4775).
