Bring Your Retirement Questions To Us!

Retirement; it’s finally here. Now what? Think retirement is about sitting with your feet up and watching the rest of the world whiz by? Possibly. Many people think about retirement and plan for embarking on one of life’s greatest adventures -- this is the time to do what you want, and to appreciate it. Having the best retirement plan means having a financial plan that enables you to achieve exactly what you want. And, what most people want is a happy, healthy and wealthy retirement (or at least an affordable one). That’s why:

  • Personal planning is important: it is the determining factor of your satisfaction with your retirement lifestyle.

  • Financial planning is crucial: it identifies your sources of income and expenses and establishes your retirement budget, based on your personal plan.

F.I.S.H. OF SANCAP, in partnership with Fifth Third Bank’s Empower-U™ Program, is holding a discussion about your retirement goals and investment strategies on Thurs., May 18, 2017 from 6:30 p.m. – 8: 00 p.m. at The Sanibel Community Church, 1740 Periwinkle Way. If you are a retiree or retiring within the next 5 to 10 years, FISH invites you to take this opportunity to get your most pressing financial concerns addressed, such as:

  • Will I outlive my money?

  • How do I protect assets from market volatility? Inflation?

  • How can I avoid losing up to 70% of my retirement fund to estate and income taxes?

  • How can I potentially turn even a small I.R.A. into a huge asset for my children or grandchildren?

Other topics of discussion may include:

  • Making Your Money Last a Lifetime: Creating an Income Plan you'll never outlive

  • How to Properly Pass on Assets to your Heirs

  • Tax Strategies: Effectively reducing taxes and keeping more of your hard earned money

  • Social Security: When to take Social Security and how it fits into your overall retirement plan

FISH workshops and presentations provide an opportunity for you to receive additional financial information at no cost. FISH offers informational seminars and guest speakers as well as reference materials and handouts. FISH hosts several events throughout the year to give the community an opportunity to learn about the subjects faced in today’s economy.
