Nowell Family Supports 10K Race 4 F.I.S.H. as Silver Sponsor
Vince and Suzie Nowell, along with their children Spencer, 21 and Reagan, 19 believe in the values of F.I.S.H. of SANCAP. This year the family is supporting the organization as a Silver Sponsor of the 10K Race 4 F.I.S.H to be held Oct. 28. The race, in its 9th year, attracts hundreds of runners of all ages from near and far to Sanibel Island. It is a day dedicated to running and F.I.S.H. of SANCAP.
Both Reagan and Spencer volunteer at F.I.S.H. “We like being involved in our hometown community and helping anyone who may be struggling,” said Reagan. Spencer agrees, and says, “I enjoy helping people on the Island.” Originally from West Virginia, the family has lived in the area for 14 years, ten of which were in Fort Myers and the last four were on Sanibel.
During their honeymoon visit to Sanibel, Suzie and Vince fell in love with a house that they couldn't resist! The blue door welcomed them to their new home. Today, the whole family enjoys a peaceful island lifestyle and activities such as biking, fishing and boating. “We love doing our part to keep the island beautiful,” said Vince. “To live and work on the island is a true pleasure.”
“The Nowell family supports F.I.S.H. in many ways,” said 10K Committee Member Ed Ridlehoover. “We are delighted to have them be a part of the race.”
Race day is Saturday, Oct. 28 at the Sanibel Community House, 2173 Periwinkle Way. Registration is open at fishofsancap.org under the “Our major events” page.
