Helping Neighbors: ‘Undie Sunday’ To The Rescue!
Thanks to Captiva Chapel-by-the Sea and their ‘Undie Sunday’ collection, F.I.S.H. OF SANCAP will be distributing new socks and undergarments to school aged children up to 13 years old.
Captiva Chapel-by-the-Sea created a collection day lovingly known as ‘Undie Sunday’ and many gave generously to that fund! Using Chapel’s financial donation, FISH ordered socks and undergarments for approximately 25 students. When children return to school, many will arrive in the comfort of new socks and undies, and with a smile of gratitude for F.I.S.H. and Captiva Chapel-by-the-Sea.
“Kids need more and more supplies these days, and as a mother of multiple children, it gets really expensive. I never want my kids to go without, especially when it comes to educational needs and necessities. With my reduction in work hours, I was getting worried about how to pay for it all. When I heard FISH was offering assistance for qualified households, I was so grateful! Thank you, FISH and Captiva Chapel, for thinking of the island youth!” Island mother of three attending The Sanibel School.
Through this partnership, FISH can help island households defray the expense of back-to-school clothing. FISH is thankful to partner with Captiva Chapel-by-the-Sea in support of our island youth.
