F.I.S.H. Hosts Annual Non-Profit Forum

On Thursday, May 23 FISH OF SANCAP hosted the 2019 annual gathering of island non-profit organizations at the Sanibel Community House with over 15 organizations represented. The event was open to leadership from all Sanibel and Captiva based non-profit organizations in order to discuss the needs of the islands and how the non-profit community can work together to address them. Given the strong support the organizations share from community members, volunteers, and donors, FISH wanted to continue in that spirit to strengthen non-profit collaborative efforts. The conversation was moderated by Lisa Heidrick, who has extensive experience in strategic planning and development. In previous years, organizations such as “Ding” Darling Wildlife Society, SCCF, Bailey-Matthews Shell Museum and the Sanibel Community Association have hosted this gathering. The group looks forward to additional meetings and ongoing conversation about their shared goal to improve the lives of Sanibel and Captiva residents and visitors.
