Helping Neighbors: F.I.S.H. OF SANCAP Hosts Blue Zones Project Presentation
FISH OF SANCAP, with Tracey Villalba, Board Certified Holistic Health Coach is offering a presentation on the Blue Zone Community®, on Monday, November 18 from 10:00 am – 11:30 am at the Captiva Civic Association, 11550 Chapin Lane Captiva, FL 33924.
As a former Senior Consultant for the Blue Zones Project Southwest Florida, Tracey Villalba will provide educational information about the Blue Zones Community® project, an area in which citizens, schools, employers, restaurants, grocery stores, and community leaders have come together to optimize residents' longevity and well-being. States Tracey Villalba, “People have no idea how much their future health, happiness and longevity is affected by decisions they make every day, all day. It’s time to change that!”
By impacting environment, policy, and social networks, the Blue Zones Project makes healthy choices easier. Demographic regions of the world where people commonly live active lives past the age of 100 years are Blue Zone communities. States Kathy Y. Monroe, Program Director, FISH, “This workshop will outline the framework for a holistic approach to eating and will teach participants to be responsible for their own measurable outcomes.”
Blue Zones Community® is noted as Gallup’s #1 Rated Healthiest and Happiest Community for an unprecedented four years running. According to their website, Southwestflorida.bluezonesproject.com, Southwest Florida is on its way to becoming a Blue Zones Community®. That means residents and business owners alike are focused on improving well-being for themselves and their neighbors to create a healthier, happier place to live, work, and play.
