Grog Shop named Gold Sponsor for FISH OF SANCAP’s 12th Annual 10K Race 4 F.I.S.H.
The 10K Race 4 F.I.S.H. Committee announces The Grog Shop as a Gold sponsor of the 12th annual race in support of FISH OF SANCAP. “We are grateful for the generous support of the Grog Shop,” said 10K Race Committee Co-chair Diane Cortese. “They are good neighbors who care about our community, and we welcome them as a Gold sponsor of the 10K race,” Cortese added.
The Grop Shop, recognizing the support and valuable programs that FISH administers within the Sanibel-Captiva community, show their support through this sponsorship. Sam and Francis Bailey started the Grog shop in late 1972. Seventy three years earlier, their father, Frank P. Bailey had started the still thriving business now known as Bailey's General Store. When it opened, The Grog Shop was the only liquor store on the island. Nearly fifty years later, they remain the largest shop with the biggest selection. The shop has always supplied a carefully curated selection of wine, spirits, beer. For the cigar aficionado, they feature Sanibel's only walk-in cigar humidor. The Grop Shop is located at Bailey's Center at the corner of Periwinkle Way and Tarpon Bay Road, next to the Island Cinema at the Southwest corner of the shopping center.
