Medicare Informational Workshop during the FISH Friendly Faces Luncheon, Sept. 12, beginning at 11:00a. This will be an in-person event hosted at the Sanibel Recreation Center, 3880 Sanibel-Captiva Road, Sanibel as well as a virtual event via Zoom, and led by SHINE. Islanders, friends and family are invited to the community-wide FISH OF SANCAP Friendly Faces Luncheon, scheduled for Tues., October 10 beginning at 11:00am.  Lunch, prepared by The Sanibel Deli, is complimentary to participants. Held at the Sanibel Recreation Center located at 3880 Sanibel-Captiva Road, with a virtual option provided. Furnishings, generously donated through the United Way Gifts-in-Kind program, along with doors, windows, cabinetry, linens, microwaves and more are available to those in need on the islands. Recipients must either be residents of Sanibel or Captiva or show proof of island employment. Distribution days take place twice monthly on Fridays from 9:00a-11:00a at the FISH building located at 2430 Periwinkle Way. Please bring a vehicle large enough to fit desired item(s), and some extra hands to lift items.
