Understanding Parkinson’s
Guest speaker Lois Kellet, Hope Parkinson Program, will discuss signs and symptoms, diagnosis, and current treatments, that can benefit those with Parkinson's and their care partners. Parkinson's disease, a progressive nervous system disorder, affects over 1 million Americans with 60,000 new cases per year. Although there is still no cure, advances have been made in the study of the complexity of the disease, opening new approaches to treatments.

May Friendly Faces
You’re invited to the community-wide Friendly Faces Luncheon, offered in a virtual format! The Zoom luncheon is scheduled for Tues., May 10 beginning at noon and is complimentary to all participants. FISH volunteers will deliver meals to islanders beginning at 11:30am. Guest speaker Trisha Botty, Executive Director, Calusa Waterkeeper, will introduce the organization and programs designed to improve the waters of its jurisdiction, including impacts on riparian and estuarine systems, wildlife habitat, and marine life.
