South Seas Joins as Sponsor for FISH OF SANCAP 10K/5K

South Seas, a secluded 330-acre retreat and wildlife nature preserve on the Florida Gulf Coast with two-and-a-half miles of pristine white-sand beaches, is pleased to support FISH OF SANCAP as a Gold sponsor for their 10K/5K Music Festival event.

According to their website, Sanibel and Captiva Island have been the destination of choice for generations of families; South Seas, for many, is where the destination has come to life. This year, they will begin writing a new chapter to add to their storied past including elevated guest experiences, expanded services, and amenities accompanied by future plans to reimagine and restore the famed South Seas to its original grandeur.

“South Seas is proud to be a partner of FISH and appreciates what you do for our community,” says Verdell Ekberg, Director of Sales and Marketing.

The FISH 10K/5K event will begin and end at the Sanibel Community House as an in-person race, and a virtual option is also offered. FISH reports over 150 registered runners as of this writing. To register, visit RunSignUp. The FISH Sound+Waves music festival will honor the resiliency of the islands. Hosted by community partner ‘Tween Waters, the festival will begin at 5pm on Sat., Dec. 2. The concert will be performed on the beach followed by fireworks, and food and beverage will be offered for purchase. Featured artists will come together to offer a variety of acoustic performances for this unique event, featuring songs from their respective bands, familiar favorites and festive tunes. The music festival is ticketed with advance ticket sales only; no on-site tickets will be available. Tickets and details are on sale now at https://FISHmusicfestival.rsvpify.com.

FISH has grown exponentially through their over 40 years of providing services to the residents, workforce and visitors of Sanibel and Captiva. In addition to their traditional four pillar programs – Food, Island Based Education, Social and Senior Services, and Helping Hands the organization is focusing on their long-term recovery program including mental health counseling and resources for Hurricane Ian survivors.

Businesses and individuals may sign up to sponsor the 10K/5K Race and Music Festival to support the ‘neighbors helping neighbors’ organization. Sponsorship opportunities can be found on the organization’s website, fishofsancap.org.
