FISH Announces ECHO Speaker Chris Jordan at Friendly Faces Luncheon

FISH OF SANCAP invites all islanders, friends and family to the community-wide Friendly Faces Luncheon, offered in a virtual format!  The Zoom luncheon is scheduled for Tues., Jan. 11 beginning at noon.  Lunch, prepared by George & Wendy’s, consists of a cold entree, side, water bottle and dessert.  The cost of the January lunch is waived and complimentary to all participants.  FISH volunteers will deliver meals to islanders beginning at 11:30am.  Future Friendly Faces luncheons will be held on the second Tuesday of each month throughout the 2022.

Guest speaker Chris Jordan, Donor Relations Officer, ECHO, will introduce the ‘Hope Against Hunger’ organization.  For nearly four decades, ECHO has been equipping and empowering hungry families with knowledge and the life-giving grace of God. They have impacted millions of lives by teaching small-scale, sustainable farming methods so families can provide for themselves and their communities. By tackling hunger at the source, they are growing hope from the ground up.

“We are so excited to learn more about ECHO, a local Fort Myers nonprofit with a global impact,” says Erika Broyles, FISH. “Through Chris’ presentation, we will learn about the programs of ECHO including their Seeds of Hope initiative, where they distribute more than 300 varieties of ECHO seeds to their network every year. These seeds go to missionaries and development workers who are on the front lines of serving the hungry. ”

Please join FISH and ECHO for this educational lunch and learn and networking opportunity.  Reservations and meal choices are required by Fri., Jan. 7 to the FISH Walk-In-Center, 239-472-4775.  Once registered, FISH will provide an emailed link and meeting ID number for access.
