Sanibel Community Church supports FISH OF SANCAP’s 10K Race as Premier Sponsor

The 10K Race 4 F.I.S.H. Committee welcomes Sanibel Community Church (SCC) as a Premier Sponsor of their 14th annual fundraising event.     Says Pastor Doug Hummer, “FISH has been a trusted and faithful organization meeting critical needs of the Sanibel community for decades now. Their service to the island family embodies the neighboring attitude that runs deep on Sanibel. SCC is proud to consider FISH a partner in the community life of Sanibel Island.”

Sanibel Community Church is a congregation of people from a wide range of ages, life experiences and faith backgrounds. SCC has been an integral part of the history of Sanibel Island for more than a century, and continues to play a vital role in the community today. The congregation invites year-round locals and visitors of the islands to gather on Sunday mornings for services located at 1740 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel.  For additional information, visit sanibelchurch.com.

“We are appreciative of Sanibel Community Church’s support of our organization and  the island community,” said Nicole McHale, Co-Chair of the 10K committee. “They always lead by example in their generous spirit and support of their neighbors in need.”

On October 22, the Race will begin at 7:30 a.m. as an in-person event, with an option to participate virtually.  Registration is currently open for the event at ftmyerstrackclub.com. FISH has been assisting islanders since 1982 as a ‘neighbors helping neighbors’ organization. Ranging from food programs to financial assistance with rent or medical bills; senior programs to prevent isolation and other supports for aging-in-place, FISH has something for everyone.
