Coastal Vista Design Actively Gives Back; Supports FISH OF SANCAP

Coastal Vista Design actively gives back to the community through involvement in charity sporting events and financial donations to local organizations like FISH of SANCAP.  They are a Sanibel-based landscape architecture studio established in 2016 by Leigh Gevelinger. Her passion for community service began while she was a student and has been able to continue her involvement through her company. “Coastal Vista Design, Inc has sponsored the FISH 10K since 2019 and I’ve been participating in the race since 2011.  This year Gabe and I are excited to run the race as a family,” says Gevelinger.

The FISH race event will begin and end at the Sanibel Community House as an in-person race.  A virtual option is also offered. To register, visit RunSignUp. Businesses and individuals may sign up to sponsor the 10K/5K Race to support the ‘neighbors helping neighbors’ organization. Sponsorship opportunities can be found on the organization’s website, fishofsancap.org. For additional information on the 10K/5K Race including sponsorship, please contact Diane Cortese at Dianerc10@gmail.com or Leah Winkler at leahwinkler12@gmail.com

FISH has grown exponentially through their over 40 years of providing services to the residents, workforce and visitors of Sanibel and Captiva. In addition to their traditional four pillar programs – Food, Island Based Education, Social and Senior Services, and Helping Hands the organization is focusing on their long-term recovery program including mental health counseling and resources for Hurricane Ian survivors.

For additional information on FISH long term recovery assistance and other programs, please contact Maria Espinoza, Executive Director at 239-472-4775 or visit their website at www.fishofsancap.org
